What is the best way to do sight seeing in London in a day and a half?

Me and my family will be stopping by in London for a couple of days. We arrive around noon at Heathrow and stay for two nights in London. We will effectively have one and a half days to sight see. What is the most economical place to stay close to the center of London? Are there any good tours we can take?

Take a Hop on Hop off bus tour and you will be drooped up at all sightseeing stuff.
The Hotels around Euston Square are cheap, not bad and quite central. I have stayed in the California Hotel for a few weeks and was quite satisfied. Check out:

The Big Bus does tours through London all day long, and you can get on and off

You will also find all over London in Pubs and Hotels brochures with special offers for short sightseeing trips. Have a good time!
Any of the bus tours are good value – you can just turn up and you can get on or off as often as you like.
If you’re looking to stay 2 nights, I always recommend my favourite, cheapest London hotel – you can see my report and video tour in the link below.
Come back if I can help further, please!
