@malfada22 – Tastes are different! It is not a question of taste, that you obviously don’t know what you are talking or writing about. Of course, Mario des Monaco sang Siegmund! 1966 in Stuttgart (not a real huge opera house) and the only one, who was blown off the stage was Mario del Monaco himself… Because singing one aria or monologue in a concert or singing the complete part in a real performance on the opera stage, this is a very, very different experience… Greetings, William
@blauauge2 The words are important to you for you are fluent but for the general public im sorry to say that it does not make much difference but I concurr with you , for when i hear Domingo or Careras sing in english It hurts my ears.When i hear many non italian tenors sing in Italian it also hurts my ears except for a select few.MANY people hear Paul POTS sing NESSUN DORMA and they think he is wonderful. I think hes horrible. When i listen hear i only hear vocals&tone i dont know the language
@sugarbist it does`t matter how my italian is. i don`t sing italian in public. but the words for wagner singing are very important, so….
@blauauge2 How is your italian,I hope its better than his german
@baritonedimitrov Thats possible that the german is horrible But perhaps thats the way many german singers are viewed when they sing in italian or perhaps you may not think thats possible. By the way how are the vocals here?
@blauauge2
The german is horrible in general for singing my friend i know it from personal experince:)
his german his horrible.
Some how with all his Italianate passion, he really makes the Character live, I can see a Sigmund!
it is good,but there are a lot better like Vickers for example
He would have sold out Bayreuth .
@piasecznik Not a “standard” performance, but a “modern” performance. Now go listen to some recordings with Furtwängler, and you will hear how it should be done.
@tenortobe I agree completely!
fatelo sentire a Klaus Florian Vogt mattina e sera, così cambia lavoro!!!!
He’s doing that better than I would have expected, but this is terribly slow. It’s at like 60% of the speed of a standard performance.
listen to all that “wild & nasty” sound quality like an “animal”….all great singers of the past have it……
As a voice student……I am listen to all these “old great singers”….for that quality……”the animal spirit”
@wittest
Are you serious? you can’t be
Extraordinary… simply… extraordinary!!!
mah!!!
Fiati miracolosi e voce miracolosamente intatta! Fenomeno!
