The shortest trip by train from Venice to Monaco takes 7 hours and 39 minutes. You have to take train number EC114 departing Venice Mestre station at 12:03pm to Milan which arrives at 2:55pm, then connect to train number EC159 which departs at 3:10pm to arrive in Monaco at 7:42pm.
The only direct service is train number EN358 which departs Mestre station at 11:04pm and arrives in Monaco at 9:26am next day. The trip is 10 hours and 22 minutes long.
From Venice to Budapest, the shortest trip reachs Budapest in about 10 hours and 22 minutes. You depart Venice Mestre at 1:26am on train EN234 to reach Wiener Neustadt (in Austria south of Vienna) at 8:04am.
